Especially if you don’t already own the previous two single film releases or don’t mind double dipping on them. Overall, ‘The Death and Return of Superman: The Complete Film Collection’ Limited Edition Blu-ray gift-set release is definitely recommended for hardcore DC Comics and/or Superman fans who will probably want to at least consider picking up a copy of this nice collectible and numbered release that brings the epic tale home in a single, seamless film that’s accompanied by plenty of nice extras. While this review may pertain to the Blu-ray Gift Set release, it’s worth noting that those picking up a copy of the 4K Ultra HD Limited Gift-set of ‘The Complete Film Collection’ will find that the bonus disc with ‘Superman: Doomsday’ is included in 4K Ultra HD (marking the first time the film has ever been granted the 4K UHD disc treatment) which is definitely a nice bonus in itself, particularly combined with the various bonus features also featured on ‘The Death and Return of Superman’ disc itself including some previously released goodies along with some brand new content (please see the special features section in the technical specification coverage of the review below for more detailed information) which shouldn’t disappoint the fans looking to add this nice little gift-set release to their collection.
